Twenty Fifth Day

Someone once said that Christianity is not only a love relationship with God.

He said is not a lovey dovey relationship where I can get what I want from God because God said He loves me.

I agree with the later statement. But not the first one.

Because my relationship with God is all about LOVE.

He loves me. And I loves Him too.

I obey because I love.

I do because I love.

I love because He loves.

We love, because He first loved us. - 1 John 4:19.

Love is never about what I can get from Him.

Love is not self-centered, is not manipulative and is not selfish.

If I only concern about what I can get, that's not love.

But love is the longing to have a relationship without getting any return.
Is about giving, not getting.

And that's how God had love us.

He gave us Jesus before we gave Him anything.

He let His only son to die for us knowing that we might not receive Him.

He took the risk for us, because He love us.

Love is never about me.

Is always about the person I love.

When I love Him, I'm not concern about what I can get from Him.

But my only concern is to have Him in my life, making Him happy and pleasing Him in every way that I can.

Through my action, my obedience and my doing.

Not because I want to gain love, is because I want to express love.

If for even one second I think that my doing can gain God's favor and love, I've not fully understand the depth and width of His love.

I love spending time with God, not because by spending time with Him I can get something.

Is because I love Him and I love His presence and I enjoy spending time with Him.

I do what I'm doing not because I'm afraid that He will punish me, but because I love Him and I want to be a good steward for Him.

All out of love.

Because of love, my first priority is always Him.
