#7 Favorite Word

Saturday, March 29, 2014

I think in different season of my life, I will have different answer to this question.

What's my favorite word?

Yesterday I gave it some thought and I think since I've been talking to my colleagues about dream, my favorite word now should be "dream".

But today when I was stuck in jam, another word came in mind.

If someone have nothing to offer to you, would you still enjoy her presence?

If God ask you to dwell in His presence, with no blessings, miracles, breakthrough or healing in return, will you still choose His presence above all?

#6 Favorite book Character

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

The last time I posted something for that list was 24 days ago.

The reason to my delay is because I don't really have a favorite book character.
And also I was distracted by some other things.

So after thinking about it for the longest time possible, I think my favorite character from a book is none other than Jesus Himself?

I mean, who can be greater than Him?

Ok. He look like a girl, but is Jesus ok!

I just always imagined Him with long hair.

Cyber Haul review

Saturday, March 22, 2014

You know the saying "Better late than never"?

With that in mind, I want to review the products I got last December during my cyber Monday haul. XD

The product that I was looking forward was the eyeliner I got.

But this is also the most disappointed product. It smudges easily and by the end of the day, it makes me look like I have smokey eyes makeup on.

I thought it might caused by my oily eyelid, so to be fair to the product I asked Oyan to try it out. Her face is rather dry and not oily at all and it smudges too! ><

The only good thing about this eyeliner is the shape of it. Is easy to put it on, but other than that I won't recommend this product.

For me to review the next product, you got to know that I have very oily scalp. I used to wash my hair twice a day because when I wake up, my hair is very oily. And by the time I come back from work, my hair is oily again. So I've been searching for a good shampoo for the longest time ever. And I tried this shampoo for a few months now.

I like the smell of this shampoo and it gives my scalp a ice-cold feeling. And it does wash-off the excess oil from my hair without making it too dry. Besides that, it washed off my hair product easily, so is a big plus.

Now, I only wash my hair once a day. Although there are days that I need to wash it twice a day, but that only happens when I burn mid-night oil.

I'll give this product 3.5 stars out of 5.

The last product I want to review is the ROSA T facial wash that I got.

I got to say the product really does what it say it will. It really does clean the excess oil from your face. But it was a little o strong for me.

I started using the product once in the morning and once when I take bath after work. Then I notice my face became a very sensitive and it felt like the skin of my face got thinner.

So I changed my routine and only use this product in the evening. I washes my face with water only in the morning. And since then I have no problem. Would definitely recommend this product to those oily and acne prune skin (as stated on the product. Lol)

If you are interested in any of these products, just drop by here and have a look!

I sketched this for fun.

And my dad kept this secret well too!

Life has to end. Love doesn't.

I just finished reading "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom!

Love this book as much as "The Time Keeper".

And these are some quotes that touched my heart.

"Why people gather when others die? Why people feel they should?"
"It is because the human spirit knows, deep down, that all lives intersect. That death doesn't just take someone, it misses someone else, and in the small distance between being taken and being missed, lives are changed."
~Pg.50

"Strangers, are just family you have yet to come to know."
~Pg.51

"No life is a waste, the only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we are alone"
~Pg.52

"This comes from the sad, layered stories of life, which over the centuries have seen courage confused with picking up arms, and cowardice confused with laying them down."
~Pg. 59

"Dying? Not the end of everything. We think it is. But what happens on earth is only the beginning."
"I figure it's like in the Bible, the Adam and Eve deal? Adam's first night on earth? When he lays down to sleep? He think it's all over, right? He doesn't know what sleep is. His eyes are closing and he thinks he's leaving the world right?"
"Only he isn't. He wakes up the next morning and he had a fresh new world to work with, but he has something else, too. He has his yesterday."
~Pg. 95-96

"Sacrifice is a part of life. It's supposed to be. It's not something to regret. It's something to aspire to. "
~Pg. 97

"Sometimes when you sacrifice something precious, you're not really losing it. You're just passing it on to someone else."
~Pg. 98

"We move through places every day that would never have been if not for those who came before us."
~Pg.130

"Parents rarely let go their children, so children let go of them. They move on. They move away. The moments that used to define them- a mother's approval, a father's nod - are covered by moments of their own accomplishments. It is not until much later, as the skin sags and the heart weakens, that children understand; their stories, and all their accomplishments, sit atop the stories of their mothers and fathers, stones upon stones, beneath the waters of their lives."
~Pg. 133-134

"Holding anger is a poison. It eats from inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves."
~Pg. 149

“Lost love is still love. It takes a different form, that' all. You can't see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around a dance floor. But when those senses weaken, another heightens. Memory. Memory becomes your partner. You nurture it. You hold it. You dance with it."
~Pg. 184

"Life has to end. Love doesn't."
~Pg. 185

My small little tiny teeny library

Monday, March 17, 2014

My room is like a mini library!

I have books all over my room!
SEE!!!

And there are more to it!

They are scattered on my table, some in the drawer and some under my bed.
And there are a few with my friends.

To avoid my room to be flooded by books, I got  move some to the cupboard in the living room.
*teehee*

Last year alone I got more than 20 books!
*I lost count*

But like most people, I got the time to shop for book, but no time to read them.

So this year, I "selected" Oyan to be the guardian over my wallet.
I told her to restrain me from buying more books.

But with one exception!
I can buy a book whenever I finish reading 5.

So far, I finished one.
JUST one... ><

Currently in the midst of

Both are very interesting.

I shall share more when I finish reading them.

Till then, you can read my take on The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom and Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge.

The BEST day of the week

Saturday, March 15, 2014

Is been a pretty rough few days since I came back from Vietnam.
God knows how I've struggle.

So I asked Oyan to bring me out for Yong Tau Fu.
*Food cheers me up!*

Then we went to Fashion Fun Fair.
I was hoping to get some boots, but I ended up getting nothing.

Oyan managed to get a shirt though.
At first she was very chillax about it, telling me that she will get it before we leave the place.
But I told her what if someone else bought it?
And she got all nervous and quickly told the owner she wants it! LOL
Oh! The owner is Kim.

This is just me with some random dress.
*Wendy, if you are reading this, we got this for your birthday! XD*

Planned to drop by Summit but the jam was CRAZY!
So we decided to go back to my place and chill.

Just sleep, talk, share and play.
Super chillax!!!!

And then these happened.

The master mind behind.

It really felt like a Sabbath day.
I refuse to do any work or even reply any e-mails.

Those things can wait.

The wind blows and her tears slide through her face.
That moment it felt like the world stopped for her broken heart.
Her Love held his breath to listen her cry.

The world would say save the energy and stop crying.
Don't waste time to do something extra which leads to the same result.
Don't waste time crying when you will still do the same.

But her Love look at her and listened to everything that she got to say.
The world would say is complain but to Love is freedom of expression.
Never once her Love wants her to put on a strong face, but Love always wanted to walk with her through every ups and downs.

Love listens, hugs and embrace.
She continues to do what is right to her and to her Love.
Same destiny, different journey, different result.

Love.
