let's RUN more

I think I'm addicted to running!

After Neon Run on Sunday, I don't really feel the impact on my leg. But when Monday comes, the pain kicks in and every step that I take I feel pain in my muscle.

And I actually enjoy the pain. ><

I know... I'm just a bit too weird unique! XD

After Neon Run, I was determined to start jogging at least 3 times per week. And I wanted to start in September so that my leg could rest after the "damage" from Neon Run. But yesterday when my legs felt a little less painful, I went jogging after work and I enjoyed it very very much!

Honestly speaking, I never thought that I could ever run or exercise again.

*tears*

Tried something new the other day.
Still on the way to perfection, but please do support us!

Dragon-i, Sunway Pyramid

菊花纪子茶
 (tea)

A bit too bitter as they put too much  chrysanthemum.

花雕酒醉鸡
(chicken)

Is a cold dish, so is something different. But it does not amaze me.

干煸四季豆
(vege)

Love this the most! It was just perfect! Highly recommend this!

上海小笼包
(dumplings)

Not bad. To me, nothing special, I've ate better one.

Overall:
The service and environment not bad. But the standard of the food is a bit disappointing. Especially the tea! Would expect a establish restaurant would take care of little details such as this. The price is a bit pricey but reasonable for restaurant in a mall.

That's all for now! Looking at all these photos make me hungry!!!

Love,
The constantly hungry Constance

I'm a FINISHER!

My first RUN, and I FINISHED it.

Woke up early in the morning to get ready for the run. I know this sounds a bit weird but I can't just go for a long run before taking a bath! XD

I can't run when I feel sticky yucky! Don't ask me why, cause I have no idea too! LOL (Although I like it when my body sweats after a good exercise)

This is my first run after so many years. And I love every second of it.

I did not run all the way, I ran, stopped and continued.

Sometimes life is like this too! ><

Along the way I breath in and out through my nose.
Focusing on one thing, RUN.

I'm surprised that the thought of giving up never crossed my mind.
I just ran.

When I was near the finishing line, just in front of our church, I heard my favorite song.
I don't believe in coincidence, if man did not plan it, GOD did!

I jog my way to the church gate, and when I saw the finishing line, somehow my body just have this energy and I ran as fast as I could.

And I grabbed my first marathon medal.

I sat at a corner, breathing in and out.
 Thinking back the whole journey.
I wanted to cry.
Because
I finished the race.
With God.
*tears*

Someone said I'm extremely cool after my first marathon. Haha. I don't know why also! XD

Let's Run

Saturday, August 24, 2013

Finally! The weekend has come. Is time for me to RUN!!!!!!
Yup! I'm talking about Neon Run 2013!!! I'm super excited about it!

I was pretty scare to sign up because of my back condition. But with my doctor's approval, I have nothing to worry about! Just go and run (maybe walk) and have fun!

Check out the running kit they provided for us!
And for this run, I got myself a new pair of shoes! My doctor recommended me to get a pair of New Balance Minimus and gosh, they are really really REALLY light!

Check them out!
Aren't they pretty!! And I got it for 50 % off! *blessed*!

Is been a while since I last run or even do exercise. Oh! How I miss my kick boxing days when I can just kick and box away all my stress and anger. Hehehe.

I went for a jog two days ago and I really really enjoy it!!! Although half of the time I was walking, but I love it when my body sweats after a good session of exercising! XD

Never ever thought that I would be able to run again.
Tomorrow, my first marathon.
 I'm running for a reason.

How about you?
 Why are you running?

God and food

Monday, August 19, 2013

God is always good to me. Even in little things that seems so insignificant. Last Friday when I was out to open a new bank account. I walked pass hawker center and the mix rice shop's Gu Lou Yok looks sooooo yummy! I wanted to have it for lunch, but when I was queuing up, I suddenly decided the Gu Lou Yok is too far away. ><

Then on Saturday morning when my beloved, greatest sister (Yes, she's reading my blog) went out to buy breakfast for us and I was craving for Yong Tau Fu. So I called her up and ask her to buy some for me. But she couldn't find any stall that have it.

And I thank God that I was lazy and my sister couldn't find it. Because on Saturday night itself I had the second best Yong Tau Fu (because my mom's the best!)and the best Gu Lou Yok ever! Pearl's mom really knows how to cook! I had sooo much and I wanted to have more if I could! Excluding other dishes, I ate 12 pieces of Yong Tau Fu!!! Twelve!!!That's how good the food were!

Sorry that I didn't take any picture of the food because I was busy eating.

And I have picture to prove it! LOL

Stole this from Yunn Min's Instagram!

I just love food! But I love GOD even more! XD

Fun Facts about envelopes

Monday, August 12, 2013

2 more days and it will be my 2 weeks anniversary in my current company. LOL Although I've been in the company for a while now, I'm still in the orientation period. Still have a lot to learn and "classes" to attend.

The thing I like about this company is that everyone got to learn what everyone else is doing. So you know you are not a lone ranger that can function by yourself and you will have a clear picture on what others are doing.

One of the things that caught my attention in one of the orientation is the fact that there are wisdom in sending/receiving letters. Don't believe me? Let me give you a lesson on the  Fun Facts About Envelopes.

Fun Fact #1 : Do you know that if you did not paste enough postage, the  recipient is fined?
My company receives a lot of mails from all around the country. I believe those who are willing to take their time and mail whatever documents to us have good intention. But what they do not know is this, sometime they do not have the right amount of stamp on it and our company will need to bear the extra cost. So do check with the post office before you send it out.

As for my company, if we did not have paste enough postage, the letter will be returned back to us. So this might only be applicable to companies.

But still, check before you send!

Fun Fact #2 : Do you know that there are 2 types of post? Standard and Non-standard.
Because of the nature of my company, we send out a lot of letters everyday. So is very important for us to minimize our postage cost. Standard mails are cheaper compare to non-standard mail.

There are many criteria to look into the mail when it comes to differentiating them into standard or non-standard mail. The most amusing of all would be the below.

Fun Fact #3 : Do you know that brown colored envelope is consider as non-standard mail?
Yup! You read it right! Apparently the envelope that we usually use is considered as non-standard mail!

The "Standard" envelope should be in light color like this:

And other colors like these are not allowed:

Honestly speaking is very subjective whether a color is consider as light color or not. So, to be at the save side, is better to use white envelope. Save your time from arguing if a color is light or not. XD

Other things that take into consideration whether a mail is standard or non-standard is the size of the envelope, the thickness and the weight of the mail. Which I find it pretty boring to share them here. ><

To know more about it just check out the Pos Malaysia Website.

And NO, this is NOT a advertorial post!

Super LOVE the outfit I wore the other day to Mid-Valley.

Scarf :: Bonita
Top :: WEE (Facebook Online Shop)
Bracelet :: Padini
Jeans::  Kitschen
Shoes:: Puma

Anyone have modelling job to offer? XD

When 36 of us become Orang Asli

Wednesday, August 7, 2013

Last Saturday was our CG retreat. 36 of us car pool down to this small town call Ipoh and turn the place upside down. Because there were so many of us, wherever we went instantly became the most popular place in Ipoh!

The uncle of the gerai along the road side selling coconut water definitely did not expect such revival at his stall when he woke up that morning. LOL.

I love the "Heong Beng" factory that we went. According to the SCS's (Sophia, Charis and Stephen) mom, this is one of the few left if not the only one that is still using the traditional way to make this Chinese traditional pastry.

The "oven" was super duper hot! I tried to put my hand in (without the fire burning of course) and it felt like my iPhone casing is going to melt! *True story* Suddenly felt respect towards the uncle. LOL

Fun fact: Do you know that instead of charcoal, they use coconut shell to heat the "oven"?

Because the weather were extremely hot. All of us went opposite to have a refreshing coconut drink. Imagine 30++ of us all gather under one small gerai under a big tree. To the boss, revival indeed had came. Because of us, there are even cars that stopped by just to buy whatever that we were having! Kesian the stall a bit further in front, they were few meters away from us, but they have ZERO crowd. ><

The place we stayed was superbly nice! And I'm not lying nor am I advertising them for a fee. But it is really really nice! Check this out!

I love nature a lot! And since young I always dream of having a tree house so that I can hide from my sister! LOL. *my dream came true!* XD

And they literally have a tree in the middle of the room!

Is really a nice place to stay. But too bad I had to rush back to church the next morning so I didn't enjoy much of the facility. But I will definitely go back there again!

Oh! Why do I have to go back to church? To get my Preach It! medal! My first ever Emerge medal. *Super touched*

More to come!

Before I forget! Pastor was asking all the leaders to run for Neon run and I think I'm one of the few who did not sign up after that. Not that I don't want, but I'm concern about my back. Is been a while since I last ran.

So I consulted my doctor and I love what he said.

"We shall work towards that!"

When I heard that I was super duper motivated! The doctor make me feel so happy and not alone. LOL He really encourages me la!

So yeah, my virgin marathon run will be none other than CHCKL Neon Run 2013!!! *excited*

The 13th floor lady

Sunday, August 4, 2013

-Behold! This is a long and no picture post!-

My 3 days break before starting my new job ended up to be 3 super packed days. On Monday I went to see my doctor and went to Jogoya with Sandra they all.

Then on Tuesday, I sent Kelvin Yii to the airport and had leader's meeting at night. I had a super duper good fellowship with Kelvin on the way to the airport and in the airport itself. Being a lawyer in training, this guy really can ask questions! But I ain't stupid as well. I ended up trading questions with him, for every question he asked, I can ask him a question too! Hahaha.

So we talked about different stuff, mostly related to church and also our believes. Talking to him really makes you think more and have a different perspective on things. Which I love it very much because it just feeds my mind. I think is important for us to share life together and also share our thoughts on our beliefs. Sometimes, we just assume that all of us see the scripture the same way.

Please keep Kelvin in your prayers as he just went for a surgery and is now resting back home in Sarawak. From what I know, he is in pain right now and can't really rest. So do pray for a speedy recovery for him.

Wednesday is the highlight of my 3 days break. The original plan for the day was to see doctor in the morning, go and buy the things needed for retreat, have lunch with Keith, write a blog post before starting my new job and have dinner with Oyan. But it became the most epic day of my life.

So I went to see doctor as usual and he did his cracking thing as usual. But I was feeling under the weather already, I kept having the urge to vomit (which is pretty normal for me some times) and I felt that my body is very tired. So instead of going to buy stuff for retreat, I went back home and sleep.

After I woke up, I vomited a few times and I felt better already. Because normally after clearing the "toxic" out of your body, everything will be fine. So I went on to have lunch with Keith. To cut the story short, I end up vomiting in his car. LOL. Thank God I vomited in the tissue box and did not stain his car. haha.

I was OK enough to drive back home myself. And when I think everything will be fine since I'm already at my condominium, everything went haywire. When the lift started to move up, my vision started to blur off and my mind was in "dream-land". I couldn't hear or see anything. A lady was in the lift with me, I think she was telling me that I missed my floor.

When the lift finally stop again at her floor, I looked at her and I collapsed right in-front of her! And she did not help me!!! >< I will forever remember this!

I then stood up with all my strength, pressed on my floor number and tried my best to stay awake. I walked out at my floor, walked towards my unit and open the door by sensing which is the correct key as I couldn't see anymore. Once I open the door, I collapsed again! I was so afraid that there will be some sort of bad guy come in and rob my house and harm me! ><

As I have strength to stand up again, I quickly lock the door and walked towards my room and sleep.

When I woke up hours later, I felt better but I had super high fever. So I did not go anywhere but stayed at home the entire day.

I still cannot understand why the 13th floor lady did not helped me when she see me collapsed in-front of her. Me and my sister came to this conclusion that maybe she thinks that I'm on drug or something. But I was wearing a polo tee and a knee length shorts! There's no way I look like I'm on drugs! But anyway, thank you lady! for not helping me! ><
